When a server can't be reached.
Your Account page asks each server for an answer from this browser. “Not reachable from here” usually means one of these:
- The server is off, or asleep: a laptop with its lid closed, or a phone that stopped Termux.
- Its quick tunnel restarted and got a new address. The Account page catches up when the server next checks in: when it starts, then once a day.
- Its only address is on your home network or your tailnet, which a page on the internet can't reach.

Give the server a public address
sasonica installsets up a quick tunnel: a free Cloudflare link, no account needed, so your phone reaches the server from anywhere. It is skipped when you installed with--no-tunnelor the computer already runs its own Cloudflare tunnel. To add it, run the install again on the server:sasonica installTo see the tunnel's address:
sasonica media-tunnel urlThen make a pairing link for your phone and open it there:
sasonica pair --device "My phone"A quick tunnel's address changes when it restarts (a reboot, a crash), and the phone then needs pairing again. A permanent address is coming.

Or use Tailscale
Tailscale joins your devices into one private network, wherever they are. It's free for personal use.
- Install Tailscale on the server, and on your phone or the computer you'll use it from.
- Sign in with the same account on each.
- Find the server's Tailscale address (it starts with 100.) in the Tailscale app, or with
tailscale ip -4on the server. - On your phone or computer, open
http://<that address>:8781/appin a browser, or typehttp://<that address>:8781as the server address on the app's Pair this device screen.
Tailscale has to be on for that device to reach the server, so this way works only where you've installed it.
