Get started
From install to your first conversation.
Sasonica has two parts: the app on your Android phone, and a server that runs next to your agents. Sasonica is in early development, so some of this is still opening up.
- 1
Install the app
Download the app on your Android phone and open it. Android asks you to allow installs from your browser the first time.
Want to see it first? Tap Just look around on the welcome screen for a demo with made-up threads. You can connect a server any time.
- 2
Run the server
On your phone
In the app, tap Run it on this device and follow along:
- Install Termux from F-Droid. The Play Store version is out of date.
- Open Termux, paste this line and press Enter:
curl -fsSL https://sasonica.com/install | bashIt takes a few minutes and about 500 MB. When it's done, Sasonica opens by itself and pairs. The app then shows what to change so Android keeps the server running: battery optimisation off for Termux, and Termux:Boot to start it after a restart.
On your computer
On macOS (Apple silicon) or Linux, run the same line in a terminal. On a Mac you can also download an installer to double-click.
curl -fsSL https://sasonica.com/install | bashIt ends with a pairing link. In the app, tap Connect to my server and paste it. The server reaches your phone through a secure Cloudflare link, so they don't need to be on the same network.
That link's address changes when the server restarts. Your server tells sasonica.com its new address, and the app finds it there by itself, so you don't need to pair again. sasonica.com only ever sees the address, never your conversations.
On Windows
The server runs on Windows too: Windows 10 or 11 on Intel or AMD, or Windows 11 on ARM (such as Snapdragon). In PowerShell (or download Sasonica-Setup and double-click it):
irm https://sasonica.com/install.ps1 | iexIt ends with a pairing link, just as on a Mac or Linux: paste it into the app.
For Claude chats, Claude Code must already be installed and signed in on that computer: Anthropic's Claude Code setup shows how.
Sasonica-Setup isn't signed yet, so you may get two warnings. Your browser may say the
.cmdfile could be harmful: choose Keep. Then Windows may say it protected your PC: choose More info, then Run anyway. Thesasonicacommand works in terminals opened after the install.Sasonica Shell (optional)
At the end, the installer asks whether to add Sasonica Shell, which lets an AI assistant such as Claude run commands on that computer, through our hosted relay (a free beta). The answer is no unless you say yes. Only want Shell, not the server?
curl -fsSL https://sasonica.com/shell | bashOn Windows:
irm https://sasonica.com/shell.ps1 | iexEither way, Shell prints a link. Open it, sign in with your Sasonica account (make one if you haven't), and press Join. The installer finishes and prints a connector URL: add it to your assistant (in Claude, Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, no authentication) and ask it to run a command.
- 3
Talk to an agent
Tap New chat and pick an agent. Claude (Anthropic's Claude Code) and Codex (OpenAI's) are the ones most people already have. pi, Hermes and opencode are other coding agents you can add if you like; you don't need them. Each one uses its own sign-in, so there are no API keys to paste.
Already use Claude Code or another of them on that computer? Sasonica uses it as it is: the same sign-in, settings and projects, so a chat from the phone is the agent you know.
Settings → Coding agents shows which agents are installed and signed in, and can install and sign in to the others. opencode's free models need no sign-in at all, so the phone install starts with it.
Then speak or type. Replies are read aloud while you follow the thread on screen.
